Welcome to Hopewell Pointe
Live well, Be well, Hopewell is not just a saying, it’s a way of living. Hopewell Pointe has a character all it’s own, unique in its location, uniform in design and gracefully co-existing with the environment.
Resting on a peninsula on the outskirts of Essex, Maryland, it is surrounded on two sides by water. On one side is Hopkins Creek; on the other side is Middle River. For boaters it’s an ideal location, just minutes from the Chesapeake Bay.
Hopewell Pointe consists of 86 single family homes and 144 condominiums. A gray, black and white color scheme creates a uniform appearance while enhancing the character of this unique community. On slightly raised foundations accented with lattice at the base, entry level porches including some with upper level porches, decks and garages, the single family homes reflect the classic architectural style of those along the North Carolina coast. The condominiums which also don elements of this classic design are spacious, bright, airy and encourage a care-free lifestyle.
Instead of the development dictating design as in many communities, in Hopewell Pointe the environment has dictated the development. The community is young in comparison to many in east Baltimore County. As part of a revitalization project begun more than 20 years ago, ground was broken in 2002. Hopewell Pointe today lies on 55 acres with a significant portion set aside for conservation preservation.
Engulfed by trees, on the waterfront, this beautiful and serene community is a nature lover’s dream. Hopewell Pointe boasts just over one mile of walking paths that meander along the water’s edge, through woods and over bridges. Observation platforms border the path providing places to rest, to read or watch the sunset. Walkers enjoy the large number of birds and wildlife attracted by the variety of vegetation.
The community also has a 134 slip marina on three piers, olympic size swimming pool, outdoor hot tub and much more. Residents need not to go on vacation, because living in Hopewell Pointe is like being on vacation every day!
The community is little known by many. If asked where Hopewell Pointe is located, most people--even some living in the area--have no idea. On a drive down Old Eastern avenue heading east of Baltimore City, one could easily drive past the entrance across from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and School. But upon entering tree-lined Hopkins Landing Dr. one begins to understand the meaning of Live well, Be well, Hopewell!
Hopewell Pointe’s convenient location provides easy access to I-95 via Routes 702 and 695. It is minutes away from White Marsh Mall, The Avenue at White Marsh, food stores, restaurants and the MARC train station.
